What is stored

  • The page path, for example /blog/some-post.
  • The referrer host when a link from another site is followed.
  • The short browser time zone region, for example Copenhagen. Cloud hosts and agents often send nothing.
  • Whether a submitted beacon has a bot-like user agent. This can be spoofed; crawlers that do not run JavaScript are not counted. Referrer hosts and time zone labels appear in the public lists below.
  • A keyed IP hash that rotates at Copenhagen midnight, used to estimate daily unique network addresses, including bots. Shared networks can merge visitors; changing networks can count one person twice. No raw IP address is stored.
  • No raw IP addresses or cookies. IP hashes are pseudonymous, not anonymous. Hosting and database providers process requests.
